ARLHC maintains a state-of-the-art Internet Data Center ( “IDC” ) that provides all of the necessary "environmentals," ensuring the highest levels of network performance, reliability and security. Our IDC covers 500 square feet of which 300 square feet is dedicated to the server room, and is designed to provide 100% uptime for your Internet connection or Web site. The facility also houses the Network Operations Center that monitors and manages our backbone network.
.FACILITIES AND FEATURES
Our IDC has been custom-designed and sized for scalability, offering unique housing options for shared and dedicated Web servers and your outsourced network infrastructure. Our team of certified technicians are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure successful management and maintenance of your Internet operations.
2.1 Site Information
· Located at Wisma Ali Bawal 2, Jalan Tandang, Petaling Jaya;
· Ground floor access;
· 300 sq. ft. server room;
· Raised access floor system, steel tile and high pressure laminate finish;
· Under floor clearance of 300 mm.
2.2 Power Supply
· 32A TPN MCCB incoming power supply, tapped from Electrical Riser Room, distributes to
- 20 kVA UPS,
- Precision Airconditioning unit,
- Split Unit Airconditioning system,
- Fire Alarm Panel,
- Watchdog Monitoring System.
· AROS, Model SENTRY HT20 Uninterruptible Power Supply with rating 20 kVA 3 phase input and 3 phase output, supported by battery backup time of 15 minutes under full load.
2.3 Fire Detection/Suppression
· Protected by ARGONITE Gas Suppression System;
· 3 nos. Argonite gas cylinders installed in server room;
· Smoke and heat detectors & gas discharge nozzles at ceiling level and under raised floor;
· Two-zones fire alarm panel outside server room;
· Precision Airconditioning System auto shutdown upon gas discharge;
· Petaling Jaya Fire and Police Departments are located less than 3 km away.
2.4 Cooling
· Precision Airconditioning System installed inside server room;
· ISOVEL Model MR13 c/w single fan condenser runs on 3 phase supply;
· Environmental control set at 21 oC and 55% humidity.
2.5 24 Hours Environmental Monitoring
· Watchdog Environmental Monitoring System;
· 8 monitoring points programmed and monitored;
· System connected to auto dial-up paging center.
2.6 Security
· Secure 24 x 7 card key access;
· Security guard protection.
2.7 Network Access
· Multiple of E1 connections to the Tier 1 ISP backbone, used exclusively for hosting data;
· Using Cisco Routers as a gateway router;
· Each server in the LAN is connected to an access layer by a meshed, redundant switching fabric through Fast Ethernet connections;
· 100 Mbps feeds to the rack cabinet @ Full Duplex;
· Access / distribution / core networks provide redundant layers that specialize in traffic management & security;
· All access, distribution and core switches are Extreme Summit. Core routers are Cisco.
· Distributed network partition at Data Center which offers DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) and Trusted Zone;
· Servers are protected by Netscreen Firewall.
